These Terms & Conditions constitute the rental agreement between the customer (the “Renter”) and TORESRENT. By renting a vehicle, the Renter agrees to comply with the following terms:

1. Driver Requirements

  • The driver must be at least 21 years old.

  • The driver must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 12 months.

  • International renters may be required to present an International Driving Permit (IDP) in addition to their national license.

2. Payment & Deposit

  • Rental fees are to be paid in full in advance.

  • Credit, Debit and Bank transfer are accepted for payment. 

  • A security deposit may be pre-authorized on the credit card.

3. Fuel Policy

  • Vehicles are delivered with same-to-same fuel policy. 

  • If not returned full, the renter will be charged for the missing fuel plus a refueling service fee.

4. Mileage Policy

  • Unlimited mileage is included unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement.

5. Insurance & Damage Coverage

  • Full insurance is included in the rental.

  • The renter is liable for damages up to €500.

  • Full coverage applies to damages exceeding €500, unless exclusions apply (see section 6).

  • Theft, tire, undercarriage, and windshield damage is covered.

6. Exclusions to Insurance Coverage

The insurance does not cover damages when:

  • The driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • The vehicle is driven by an unauthorized third party.

  • Traffic laws are violated.

  • The vehicle is misused or taken off-road.

  • The car is used for illegal purposes, subletting, towing, or racing.

  • Negligence or deliberate damage occurs.

7. Fines & Legal Violations

  • All traffic fines, parking tickets, and administrative penalties during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter.

8. Vehicle Condition & Cleanliness

  • The vehicle is delivered in excellent mechanical and aesthetic condition, unless otherwise noted.

  • The renter is expected to return the car reasonably clean. A cleaning fee may apply if the vehicle is excessively dirty.

9. Keys & Loss

  • The car key is the responsibility of the renter.

  • In case of loss or theft, a replacement fee of €400 will be charged.

10. Accidents & Emergency Assistance

  • In the event of an accident, the renter must:

    • Immediately inform Toresrent at +30 6908 568 410.

    • Call the local police at +30 26950 24491.

    • Contact the accident assistance service (details are included with your insurance documents).

  • Failure to follow these steps may void the insurance.

11. Use Restrictions

The vehicle may not be used for:

  • Transporting goods or materials that damage the vehicle

  • Transporting more passengers than permitted by law

  • Racing, towing, or subletting

  • Transporting illegal substances or engaging in illegal activity

12. Breakdown & Roadside Assistance

  • 24/7 roadside assistance is included. Contact details are provided in your rental folder.

13. Rental Period, Extensions & Early Returns

  • The rental period is stated in the agreement. Extensions must be requested at least 24 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

  • Early returns are allowed, but no refunds are given for unused rental days unless otherwise agreed.

14. Cancellations & No-Shows

  • Free cancellation is available up to 7 days before the rental start date.

  • Cancellations within 7 days will incur a cancellation fee of 50% the booking amount.

  • No-shows without notice are charged the full rental amount.

15. Termination of Rental Agreement

  • Toresrent reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without compensation if the vehicle is misused or any terms are violated.

16. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Greece. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Zakynthos.
